Admission
Southern Academy is a Pre-K 4 through 12th grade school. Southern provides an academic and basic curriculum that will give each student the knowledge and understanding necessary to attend college.
For a student to be accepted at Southern, the following criteria must be met:
AGE REQUIREMENTS
· Pre-K-3: 3 Years old by October 1
· Pre-K-4: 4 Years old by September 1
· Kindergarten: 5 Years Old by September 1*
*Admission to Kindergarten of a student applicant who has not completed Pre-K4 at Southern Academy is contingent upon passage by such applicant of a Kindergarten readiness test to be administered by the Southern Academy counselor.
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
1. Certified Birth Certificate (not hospital record)
2. Certificate of Immunization (not expired)
3. Social Security Card
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
All transferring students must...
1. Present an official transcript from sending school
2. Be in good standing in grades and behavior from sending school
3. All new students being considered for enrollment in grades 3 through 12 must take Otis
Lennon Mental Ability Test (OLMA) and perform at 5th stanine or better. The entrance
exam will be given at Southern Academy
