Baseball
Southern Academy has two baseball teams: Junior Varsity and Varsity. These teams compete in the AISA's Class 2A. The Junior Varsity team is comprised of 7th-9th grade boys, and the Varsity team consists of 10th-12th grade boys. The AISA State Baseball Tournament is held each Spring.
Softball
Southern Academy has two softball teams: Junior Varsity and Varsity. These teams compete in the AISA's Class 2A. The Junior Varsity team is comprised of 7th-9th grade girls, and the Varsity team consists of 10th-12th grade girls. Both teams travel around the state and host other teams at home for games during the regular season. The AISA State Softball Tournament is held at the end of the regular season.
